Stefan Konzett – born in 1976 in Vorarlberg/Austria, studied Trombone at the „Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck“, as well as at the „Mozarteum Salzburg“ with Dany Bonvin, where he got his diploma in 2004. He works as a freelance trombonist and basstrumpeter in different orchestras, chambermusic ensembles and Jazzbands, as well as a teacher. He plays with Camerata Salzburg and OENM (Österreichisches Ensemble für neue Musik).

Since studying at University, Stefan focuses much on early music, what inspired him to found the baroque ensemble „Musica Antiqua Salzburg“ that he leads and manages. He plays regularly with the baroque orchestraConcerto Stella Matutina“ and „I Barocchisti“ under Diego Fasolis.

He is also a member of the Brass EnsembleSoundInnBrassAustria“ and plays regularly with theLungau Big Band“.

As a teacher for Trombone and Euphonium he teaches at the „Musikum“ and the „Pädagogische Hochschule“ Salzburg. With the international group „The Archipelago Project“  he teaches worldwide at Workshops and masterclasses.
